Reservations

Your journey into the cultural heart of Chicago begins in the afternoon. We welcome arriving travelers and neighbors to register and settle into their boutique guestrooms or suites starting at 4:00 PM.

If you find yourself on the 53rd Street Corridor before our standard afternoon check-in window, our guest services team is delighted to securely hold your luggage. We invite you to make yourself at home, pour a cup from our morning lobby coffee station, flip through our curated art books, or take a complimentary seasonal bicycle out for an early spin to explore the neighborhood.

To allow our housekeeping team the dedicated time required to meticulously reset and refresh our residential spaces for the next arriving explorer, we conclude our departures at 11:00 AM.

We are always intentional and thoughtful about our guests' travel timelines. If your flight departure, dynamic itinerary, or final morning of exploration requires a bit more time, please coordinate with our front desk team. Extended departures are subject to seasonal availability and our current room demand.

We require primary registered guests to be 21 years of age or older at check-in.

Yes, you are welcome to use a debit card at check-in. However, we want to be intentionally thoughtful about your banking timeline: unlike credit cards, financial institutions typically require 7 to 10 business days from your departure date to fully release this temporary hold and restore the balance to your account.

This fee activates a curated array of premium residential touches, wellness features, and local experiences throughout your stay:

  • Seasonal Refreshments: An afternoon seasonal beverage served in our dynamic lobby.
  • Morning Fuel: Access to our morning coffee and tea station hosted in the lobby area.
  • In-Room Hydration: Two (2) complimentary bottles of water delivered daily to your guestroom or suite.
  • The Soundtrack of Hyde Park: In-room access to our curated library of vinyl records highlighting local Chicago artists, paired with your guestroom turntable.
  • Neighborhood Exploration: Complimentary use of a custom 3-speed bicycle equipped with a carrying basket for 90-minute reservations (available seasonally and based upon availability).
  • Intellectual & Digital Access: Seamless high-speed internet connections alongside complimentary daily digital access to The New York Times.
  • Round-the-Clock Facilities: 24-hour access to our state-of-the-art fitness center and dedicated business center.

In addition to the nightly amenity fee, standard local lodging and hospitality taxes apply to all accommodations:

  • Illinois State Tax: 11.9%
  • Chicago City Tax: 4.5%
  • Cook County Tax: 1.0%

To ensure a seamless stay where you can effortlessly charge literary-inspired cocktails at Mesler or premium curated amenities directly to your room, a temporary incidental hold is placed on your card upon arrival.

  • Standard Guestrooms: $100 per day

  • Suites: $150 per day
